Dear all,
My name is Matthew and I will be directing the upcoming production of Antigone for the Nomadic Players. I am currently seeking an assistant director to work on the play with me. He or she must be sure they have the right amount of time to dedicate to this project. The deadline for the applications is the 16th of September as this is when a lot of people are back and I hope to meet with my assistant director as soon as possible.
A little bit about Antigone. This production of Antigone is an adaptation of the original works by Sophocles translated by E. F. Watling. The play is a modern retelling set in the Middle East. As the assistant director you will be involved from the start working with me on the changes to the script and how to stage them, helping run rehearsals and all the other dirty bits the crew have to do.
I’m looking forward to reading the applications and hope this will be an enjoyable experience for all involved.
